The Pride flag flies again at Parkdale-Cromdale Community League. An exuberant crowd of 40 adults and children were on hand for the annual Pride Month flag raising on Monday, June 7. The sun shone obligingly as MLA Janis Irwin did the honours, along with league president Kevin Wong. 

“Pride is strongly supported in our neighbourhood,” noted Irwin, a local resident and LGBTQ2S+ activist. “You see Pride flags displayed on many properties in support.”

For Wong, support for Pride is personal. “As a gay man, you are all my family,” he told listeners. This is the third year that Wong has presided over the flag raising.
