An invitation to every artist who has ever dreamed of showing work to an audience: now’s the time to introduce yourself. The Bleeding Heart Art Space invites artists from across Edmonton and area to contribute a piece of art to the Open Walls exhibit in December.
Open Walls is a wild exchange of art, feeling, energy, beauty, awe, joy, laughter, silence, and the connections and dialogue that arise when art moves or challenges us.
Light streams through the windows of Bleeding Heart Art Space on 118 Avenue. Its bright interior fulfills the founders’ intent that there be a community gathering place for the arts, and by extension, for social dialogue.
“One thing that art does really well is give a voice to people who may not have a voice, and to issues that may not have a voice,” said Dave Von Bieker, Bleeding Heart’s artistic director.
